Again terrorists kill nine sack villages in fresh Katsina attack

Suspected bandits have reportedly killed nine persons in Bakkai village, in the Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
A large number of animals were also said to have been rustled by the bandits during the attack.
Residents said the suspected bandits stormed the village on Sunday.
The bandits were said to have earlier sent a message to the residents, informing them of the attack.
The residents consequently invited some vigilance groups to the village for protection.
The residents said the bandits nonetheless carried out the attack about 1am on Sunday, during which they overpowered the vigilante members and killed nine persons while several others were injured.
The residents claimed that they later saw the Nigerian Air force aircrafts on Monday morning, circling the village and the nearby forest which the bandits escaped to after the attack.
The spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, had yet to react to the incident as at Monday night.
Also, the spokesman for the Nigerian Air force in Katsina, Lateef Oguns, could not be reached for comments as his phones rang out.
Meanwhile, the remains of the victims were buried according to Islamic rites on Monday.
